Refinishing weathered ornamental iron railings and an entry gate at a Powell Avenue home in Ottawa.
The brief
The ornamental iron railings and entry gate at a Powell Avenue home had weathered and needed bringing back to a crisp, durable black.
What we did
We degreased and hand-sanded the metal, spot-treated rust and primed, then finished it in a hard-wearing satin black — careful work around all the decorative detail.
The result
Railings and a gate that look new again and are protected against the elements.
