Plinth — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026 · Applies to the Plinth iOS/iPadOS app (“Plinth 3D Review”) and plinth web pages, operated by Heims LLC.

The short version: Plinth has no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no third-party analytics SDKs. Your 3D models and projects stay on your device. The only data that leaves your device is the review content you deliberately publish for a client, payment handled by Apple or Stripe, and anything you submit on our website forms. We never sell data.

What stays on your device

Imported 3D models (USDZ files), your projects, pinned comments, statuses, and generated PDF exports are stored locally in the app’s private storage on your iPhone or iPad.
PDFs you export are shared only through the iOS share sheet, to destinations you choose.

What is uploaded when you publish a review link

When you tap “Publish Review Link,” Plinth uploads that review’s content to our Apple CloudKit database (Apple’s cloud infrastructure) so your client can open it: the project title, version label, review status, your pinned comment text and positions, and timestamps. When a client responds, their decision (Approved / Request Changes) and optional note are stored the same way. Published reviews are addressed by an unguessable random token — only people you give the link to can open them. To remove a published review from the cloud, delete the project in-app or email us and we’ll remove it.

iCloud

Publishing requires being signed in to iCloud; Apple uses your iCloud account to authorize the upload. Plinth never sees your Apple ID, password, email, or contacts. Clients opening a review link don’t need an iCloud account.

Payments

Subscriptions (Plinth Pro) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no card details — only anonymous transaction records that unlock Pro.
Founding preorder ($299) is processed by Stripe on our website. Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy policy; we receive your name, email, and purchase confirmation so we can deliver founding access and honor refunds.

Website forms

Our waitlist form is processed by Formspree and sends us what you enter (name, email, what you design, file format, preorder interest) so we can contact you about early access. We don’t share or sell this list.

What we don’t do

No advertising, no ad networks, no data brokers, no selling or renting personal information.
No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
No collection of contacts, photos, location, or identifiers beyond what’s described above.

Data retention & deletion

Local data lives on your device until you delete it (swipe-to-delete removes a project and its model file). Published review records persist in CloudKit so client links keep working; delete the project or email us to have them removed. Waitlist and founding-purchase records are kept until you ask us to delete them.

Children

Plinth is a professional tool, not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
