Early access · for product & industrial designers

3D design approvals, without messy screenshot threads.

Plinth is an early iPhone & iPad app for product and industrial designers who need a cleaner way to present USDZ models, pin review notes, share a client review link, and capture approve / request-changes decisions — in one place.

Built solo. Early. Honest. Production-backed — and shaped by founding users.

Built for the people who already live in SolidWorks, KeyShot, Rhino, SketchUp & Blender — and present to clients every week.

The problem

Renders don’t close deals. Experiences do.

Clients can’t read a flat render or a 2D drawing. So they hesitate, ask for “just one more pass,” or approve the wrong thing — and the cost lands on you in lost pitches and expensive change-orders.

Renders ≠ scale
A hero shot can’t tell a client how a product actually feels in the hand or the room.
Feedback scatters
Notes live in email, texts, screenshots and call recordings — never on the model itself.
Sign-off drifts
No clear “approved this version” record, so revisions and scope creep go unbilled.

How it works

Import a USDZ. Pin the notes. Get a decision.

No new modeling tool to learn. Bring the USDZ you already exported and turn the review into a clear decision.

1

Import a USDZ model

Create a project on iPhone or iPad, import your USDZ file, and view it in a clean interactive 3D viewer.

2

Add pinned review notes

Place comments directly on the model so clients understand what they’re reviewing — instead of guessing from screenshots, PDFs, or long email threads.

3

Share a Plinth review link

Publish a client review, open it through the Plinth iOS/iPadOS app, and capture a clear decision: Approved or Request Changes, with an optional note.

Why Plinth

A review tool focused on the handoff moment.

  • Purpose-built for design review

Plinth is focused on the handoff moment: showing a 3D concept clearly, attaching feedback to the model, and turning client review into a simple decision.

  • Less scattered than screenshots and email

Instead of sending a pile of images and tracking comments across messages, Plinth keeps the model, pinned notes, PDF export, review link, and client decision together.

  • Early access with real influence

Plinth is at the founding-user stage. The core approval loop works today, and the roadmap — richer sharing, more file formats, Mac, web, and spatial review — will be shaped by the designers who join early.

Founding preorder · limited to the first 100

$299 one-time · lifetime founding access

For early supporters who want priority access and influence while Plinth is still being shaped. Capped at 100 founding spots — the offer closes September 8, 2026 (or earlier if spots run out), then it’s gone for good.

  • Early access to the iPhone/iPad MVP via TestFlight or App Store release
  • Founding-user status + priority access to new builds
  • Direct influence on the roadmap — sharing, file formats, Mac, web, spatial review
  • The current production-backed workflow: USDZ import, pinned comments, PDF export, review links, approve / request-changes

Limited to the first 100 founders · closes September 8, 2026. Full refund any time before launch if Plinth isn’t right for you. Plinth is early software — the current MVP is an iPhone/iPad USDZ review & approval tool. It does not yet include browser-based client review, Mac, web, Vision Pro, AR, true 1:1 scale, GLB/OBJ import, threaded comments, team accounts, or live sync. The founding offer is for people who believe in the direction and want early access while helping shape what comes next.

Roadmap: browser-based review links, Mac, web, Apple Vision Pro, AR / spatial review, more file formats (glTF, OBJ, STEP…), live sync, and richer collaboration are planned — but not part of the current MVP.

Questions

Good things to ask first.

What platforms does Plinth support today?

Today, Plinth is focused on iPhone and iPad — the current MVP runs as an iOS/iPadOS app with a production-backed client review flow. Mac, web review pages, and Apple Vision Pro are not in the current MVP; they’re on the longer-term roadmap. The founding offer is for the early iPhone/iPad product as it exists now.

Can clients review in any browser without installing anything?

Not yet. Today a client review link opens through the Plinth iOS/iPadOS app, where the client views the review and submits Approved or Request Changes. Browser-based review links are on the roadmap, but not part of the current MVP.

Which file formats can I import?

The current MVP supports USDZ import. glTF, GLB, OBJ, STEP and other formats aren’t supported yet — additional formats are on the roadmap, but early users should assume USDZ-only for now.

Does Plinth support Vision Pro, AR, or true 1:1-scale walkthroughs today?

Not yet. The current app uses an in-window interactive 3D viewer where you can orbit, inspect and review a model. Vision Pro, tabletop AR and true 1:1-scale spatial review are part of the product vision, but not in the current MVP.

Are comments threaded or versioned?

Not yet. The current MVP supports pinned comments on the model. Threaded discussions, version history, comment resolution and richer collaboration are roadmap items.

How much will Plinth cost?

Plinth Pro is $19.99/month or $149.99/year (about 37% off), with a 7-day free trial. Your client never pays — they open the review link and approve for free. The $299 founding offer is separate: a one-time, lifetime Pro deal for early supporters who want priority access, roadmap influence, and founding-user status (capped at the first 100 founders, closes September 8, 2026 — refundable any time before launch). Final pricing may evolve as the product matures — evaluate the current MVP as an early iPhone/iPad USDZ review & approval tool, not a finished cross-platform suite.
